About Us
Life's challenges can be overwhelming, leaving us feeling distressed and hopeless despite our best efforts to cope alone or with existing support. Our practice offers individual, relationship- focused, and family therapy, providing the extra support needed to reduce burnout, learn new skills, and foster a positive outlook on life and relationships. We have been proudly serving LGBTQIA2S+ individuals and relationships in North Carolina since 2019. We center the experiences of LGBTQIA2S+ and neurodiverse - identifying individuals at every level.
OUR MISSION & VALUES
The Horizons Ethos
We are a queer-owned and operated practice at every level, and utilize the informed consent model when assisting with medical supports (WPATH, SOC8). We strive to make our practice as inclusive as possible. We center the experiences of LGBTQIA2S+ and neurodiverse individuals, and are sex-positive, kink-allied and poly-friendly clinicians. We work from a feminist, anti-racist and anti-oppressive approach and are dedicated to social justice.
We would like to acknowledge that we are located on the occupied territory and ancestral land of the Lumbee, Mánu: Yį Ä®suwÄ… (Catawba), and Skaruhreh/Tuscarora people. We thank them for their hospitality and stewardship of this land.
